Discover the beautiful world of Aizome, the natural Japanese Indigo Dye cultivated for many centuries by Japanese people for producing their garment, kimono textiles and dailylife furoshiki wrapping cloths. This Aizome natural Indigo Dye is extracted from the Japanese indigo plant and naturally fermented with microorganisms during a few months, before been dried out as Sukumo, a raw material used both in the dyeing process but also into the traditional Kampo medicine as well.

This is a rare opportunity to discover this perishing traditional heritage within an authentic Aizome atelier while visiting Kyoto.
